Dorset Theatre Festival announces its 2015 Season, featuring 3 Regional Premieres, 2 Pulitzer Prize winners, its 6th Annual New Play Reading Series and new for this year - a Family Fun Series designed to introduce quality theatre to the next generation of theatre-goers. "When I went about looking for the right plays for us to present this summer, my one criteria was to find plays that were moving, that make people care. These plays all have that quality, and whether funny, sad, or thought-provoking, people will walk out of the Playhouse this summer inspired and moved by what they have seen," says Dorset Theatre Festival Artistic Director, Dina Janis.

Author Raymond Benson Wins 2015 Lovey Award for Best Suspense Novel of 2014 for THE BLACK STILETTO: SECRETS & LIES

Raymond Benson, best known as the official author of the James Bond novels from 1996 to 2002, received the prestigious 2015 Lovey Award: Best Suspense Novel of 2014 for The Black Stiletto: Secrets & Lies. The novel is the fourth title in the popular Black Stiletto series which chronicles the adventures of the masked vigilante. While Benson does not give his Black Stiletto heroine 'super' powers, she is expertly trained in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and possesses heightened senses. The author expertly moves between past and present, covering 1958 through 1962 referencing the heroine's diaries, to today, where Judy Talbot née Cooper AKA The Black Stiletto, diagnosed with Alzheimer's, resides in a nursing facility. Her son, Martin has stumbled upon the five diaries, and learns of his mother's past. He must now protect his mother while he assimilates the new information, and search for the father he has never known.

Royal Shakespeare Company has announed its Stratford-Upon Avon winter 2015 artistic program, including making the 600th anniversary of Agincourt and continues Shakespeare's Histories with Gregory Doran's production of Henry V, also screened 'Live from Stratford-upon-Avon' to cinemas and schools, Jonathan Munby's acclaimed production of Ella Hickson's Wendy & Peter Pan returns to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, two new plays premiere in the Swan Theatre - Hecuba by Marina Carr, directed by Erica Whyman, and Queen Anne by Helen Edmundson, directed by Natalie Abrahami and Congreve's Love for Love - first RSC staging of this glorious Restoration Comedy, directed by Selina Cadell.

Baltimore Shakespeare Factory to Present THE MERCHANT OF VENICE

Baltimore Shakespeare Factory (BSF), in conjunction with British original pronunciation (OP) experts, the father and son team of David and Ben Crystal, will open its 2015 season with a historic production of The Merchant of Venice. Ben Crystal will also visit the company twice during the rehearsal process, including the final rehearsals during the week before opening night. Presenting A Merchant of Venice in OP fits perfectly with BSF's overall philosophy of recreating the staging conditions that existed in Shakespeare's day.
