Stage and screen legend Julie Andrews returns for the fourth time to host the festive annual New Year's celebration with the Vienna Philharmonic, under the direction of Franz Welser-Möst from Vienna's Musikverein. This is Welser-Möst's second time at the podium of this much cherished event; the last was 2011.

The creative team behind the recent acclaimed Southwark Playhouse musicals, Parade and Mack & Mabel, are returning to the Vault to present the Broadway musical comedy, Victor/Victoria. Directed by Thom Southerland and produced by Danielle Tarento, it is currently running at The Vault at Southwark Playhouse through Saturday December 15.

Well, their loss is our gain, and the funny, romantic, utterly charming and delightful production of VICTOR/VICTORIA by Stages St. Louis is certainly proof enough that something is amiss in their estimations. This closer for Stages season is well worth you time and attention, and proves once again that some productions just work better in other venues.

Don't miss the third installment of Segerstrom Center for the Arts' wildly popular free Movie Mondays when it returns to the Arts Plaza next week (July 25) with musical comedy Victor/Victoria featuring Julie Andrews and James Garner. To honor the film, the Center is hosting a Can Can Food Drive, collecting non-perishable food items for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Guests are invited to arrive as early as 5:30 p.m. with the movie starting at dusk.
