Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, has announced an exciting quartet of shows for their 24th season of Broadway in Concert musicals. The MTG 2019-2020 season includes: BARNUM, THE GOODBYE GIRL, IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU and KISMET.

The Media Theatre has 'Saturday Night Fever: The Musical' live on stage now through June 9. The show is based on the classic 1977 film that catapulted John Travolta into super-stardom and kept disco alive with huge (and still relevant) hits from The Bee Gees.

Peppered with infectious Abba songs, it's like bubblegum for the soul.

Hylton Performing Arts Center announced today its 2019-2020 season of mainstage performances, featuring a diverse lineup of artists and ensembles across genres, as part of Hylton Presents, Hylton Family Series, Matinee Idylls, and the American Roots Series. The Hylton Center also announced the first Hylton Center EXTRA! for the season: the husband and wife duo and banjo icons, B la Fleck and Abigail Washburn, in a special concert event featuring their unique blend of alternative bluegrass. Iconic multi-platinum-selling group AMERICA--lead singers, songwriters and guitarists Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell--will make a Friday, June 21 stop at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles as part of their 50th anniversary world tour. Tickets for the show are on sale now at AXS.com.

Supermodel and actress Christie Brinkley heard the call of Broadway again when she joins the national tour of the Tony Award-winning hit musical Chicago as Roxie Hart. Her next stop, after Phoenix, is Las Vegas for a limited seven-show engagement at The Venetian Theatre in The Venetian Resort Las Vegas from April 10-14.

The little OPERA theatre of ny(LOTNY) presents the New York Premiere of Benjamin Britten's opera in two acts, OWEN WINGRAVE, with libretto by Myfanwy Piper, at GK Arts Center, 29 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY, from May 9-12, 2019, with performances Thursday through Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 3pm. DanceWorks proudly presents the highly acclaimed Kaha:wi Dance Theatre (KDT) in the Toronto premiere of Blood Tides, conceived and directed by KDT Artistic Director Santee Smith of Six Nations of the Grand River territory. Thursday Night Theater Club announce their cast of fourteen for The Elephant Man by playwright Bernard Pomerance.  Robyn Cohen is delighted to be at the helm with such a notable group of actors.   The production opens at El Portal Theatre. Theatre Arlington Board President, Dr. Aaron Reich, is thrilled to announce that Steven D. Morris has a new title. After a unanimous vote in their Tuesday, November 27th board meeting, Morris will be the permanent Executive Producer of Theatre Arlington, effective immediately. MAN IN THE RING deserves better than to be described with boxing cliches, but the Huntington Theatre Company production of Pulitzer Prize-winner Michael Cristofer's play is a knockout. Its complex structure, authentic dialogue, and poignant portrayals by an outstanding cast of actors make this biography of six-time world champion prizefighter Emile Griffith much more than a story about a pugilist's career. Seasoned with the rhythms and songs of Griffith's Caribbean island origins, the pulsing beat and glaring neon of the underground gay bar scene, the roar of the arena crowds, and the exploding flashbulbs of reporters clamoring for a piece of the champ, MAN IN THE RING is an immersive experience that should not be missed.

In The Wings Productions, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tanya Glassman and Executive Producer Adam Glassman, are proud to present the award-winning family favorite Annie, on the Snug Harbor Music Hall stage from November 30 through December 9, 2018.

On October 12-14, Theatre West hosts "To Dad with Love: A Tribute to Buddy Ebsen," starring Kiki Ebsen.Accompanied by four of Los Angeles' premiere jazz musicians, Kiki shares the story of Buddy Ebsen's seven-decade entertainment career through songs, poignant stories, and Dustin Ebsen's media montage that details her father's life. 

The colorful and complex true story of six-time world champion prizefighter Emile Griffith is told in Man in the Ring, a new play written by Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Cristofer, directed by Michael Greif, and presented by the Huntington Theatre Company from Nov. 16 to Dec. 22, 2018 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts.  Imbued with the warmth of Griffith's character and the joyful music of his childhood home, Man in the Ring chronicles Griffith's sweeping life story, from his humble beginnings in the Virgin Islands to his passionate love affairs and the tragedy that changed his life.

In honor of the upcoming engagement, Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert, the Saenger Theatre is inviting fans of all ages to participate in a Star Wars costume contest on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. The winner of the costume contest will receive four tickets to a Saturday showing of Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert, VIP access and a commemorative poster. The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring guest conductor Erik Ochsner, will perform Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert live and will feature a screening of the complete film A New Hope with Oscar-winning composer John Williams' musical scores performed live to the film. Fans will be able to experience the scope and grandeur of this beloved Star Wars film in a live symphonic concert experience, as Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert debuts Friday, Sept. 7th at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 8th at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans.

Cleveland Play House (CPH) kicks off its 2018-2019 Season with the spine tingling tale of Susan Hill's The Woman in Black.  Hill's gothic ghost story, adapted for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt, will star Bradley Armacost as Arthur Kipps and Adam Wesley Brown as the Actor in the show that Daily Mail called, "A nerve-shredding experience."  Director Robin Herford will recreate his original staging from the London West End.  The American premiere of the West End Production is produced by PW Productions and Pemberley Productions.  Previews begin on September 15th, with press opening on September 21st at the Allen Theatre in Playhouse Square. 

Michael Feinstein and the Pasadena POPS close out their popular outdoor summer concert series at the Los Angeles County Arboretum on Saturday, September 8 with Broadway Goes to the Movies. The POPS season finale will provide a quintessential Feinstein experience with some of Broadway's greatest performers recreating songs from hit shows that traveled from 42nd St. to Hollywood. "This program is going to celebrate all the different musical aspects of Broadway and Hollywood," says Feinstein, who has put together a program spanning the Broadway canon from My Fair Lady to The Sound of Music to Jersey Boys. Highlights include "The Impossible Dream," "Can't Take My Eyes off of You," and "There's No Business Like Show Business," among many other beloved showtunes.

The New Group has announced full casting for Sharr White's The True, with Austin Cauldwell, Glenn Fitzgerald and John Pankow joining, as previously announced, Edie Falco, Michael McKean and Peter Scolari in this world premiere production launching the company's 2018-2019 Season.
