Based on P.I. Travers' cherished stories and the classic 1964 Walt Disney film, MARY POPPINS, currently one of London's biggest sensations, features the Sherman brothers' original Academy Award�-winning songs. In collaboration with Cameron Mackintosh, the show has been created by Academy Award�-winning screenwriter Julian Fellowes, who has written the book, and the Olivier� Award-winning team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, who have composed new songs and additional music and lyrics.
Olivier� Award-winning director Richard Lyre leads a dream team of vision and stagecraft, bringing to life the story of the Banks family and their magical nanny. The Melbourne production of MARY POPPINS premiered on Thursday, July 29, 2010, opening to critical acclaim and welcoming more than 500,000 theatergoers. When the curtain comes down on the final Melbourne show, MARY POPPINS will have played to 100% capacity at each of its 299 performances.

The Broadway Beauty Pageant crowned Michael Cusumano (Mr. Chicago) the winner last evening, Monday, March 21st, 2011 at 8:00 PM, at the benefit for The Ali Forney Center, NYC's primary housing resource for homeless LGBT youth. Michael received standing ovations for his brilliant interpretation of his Russian prima ballerina version of the film 'Black Swan' dancing on pointe. A capacity crowd enjoyed the annual show again at the Peter Norton Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway (at 95th Street).
