Ahead of the opening of priority booking for Friends of the Festival on Saturday, 24 March, details of the full programme for the 67th Wexford Festival Opera are announced. Continuing its tradition of presenting the 'best operas rarely seen', this year's Festival includes a verismo double-bill, a European premiere and a classic Wexford offering involving kidnapping, murder, arson and a posh New York dinner party that doesn't quite go to plan! All this plus three daytime ShortWorks operas, concerts, recitals, theatre and talks. 62 public events over the autumn 17-day period.

Anniversaries are customarily times to reflect on the past, but for Maine State Music Theatre's Artistic Director, Curt Dale Clark, the 2018 gala celebration of the company's sixty years is not only a time to celebrate history, but also to use the significant milestone as an opportunity to look to the future. 'We are thinking forward and not resting on our laurels. We are accentuating what works, trying to fix what doesn't, and trying to find new ways to engage the community and make them happy,' Clark explains his philosophy about the Brunswick-based theatre's upcoming historic season.

Another all-star cast has been assembled for the second concert in this record-breaking 18th season of Town Hall's signature series,Broadway by the Year. After ten years playing and singing for the international creme de la creme at the Steinways of London's 5-star venues and exclusive clubs, Cat Simoni is back home and delighted to be entertaining Cape Town audiences on Sunday nights in the intimate setting of the Alexander Bar. She'll be joined by different friends each gig, this week starting with the multi-talented songwriter and voice artist Alan Glass.

Hennepin Theatre Trust announced STEVE EARLE AND THE DUKES will bring the Copperhead Road 30th Anniversary Tour to Minneapolis at the historic Pantages Theatre (710 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis) on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. The Warner Bros. Records artist will celebrate his 1988 release on March 16 in El Dorado, Arkansas through April 15 in Peekskill, New York. The Mastersons will be performing as a special guest.

 Award winning EMH Productions begins its seventh season of provocative and compelling theatre with the powerhouse drama by award winner Elise Marie Hodge.  An Iraqi war vet and the woman he inadvertently kidnaps become trapped, not only with each other, but their own personal demons as the worst snow storms in history isolate them in a cabin in the woods.  Sounds simple, right?  A series of blizzards are on the way, and the whole town is in preparation to lock down and sit it out in this one bar hamlet where a lonely woman and a strung out war vet have found solace. 

Town Hall Theatre 'Generations' Season 2017-2018 jumps into 2018 with Alan Ayckbourn's dark comedy, WOMAN IN MIND. WOMAN IN MIND will have 12 performances, including two previews, March 1 through March 24, 2018, at Town Hall Theatre Company, 3535 School Street, in Lafayette, CA.

Actors Co-0p Theatre Company (Ovation Award-Winner 2014 Best Intimate Theatre Musical for 110 in the Shade) presents the Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony Award nominated drama A Walk in the Woods written by award-winning playwright Lee Blessing, directed by Ken Sawyer, produced by Lauren Thompson. A Walk in the Woods will preview, Thursday, February 8 at 8:00 pm, and will open Friday, February 9 at 8:00 pm, and run through Sunday, March 18 at the Actors Co-op Crossley Theatre, 1760 N. Gower Street, 90028 (on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood) in Hollywood.

Love appears in unlikely places in Adam Szymkowicz's new play, Kodachrome, which makes its world premiere at The Armory directed by Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan. The production opens February 9, with previews beginning February 3 and performances running through March 10 in the Ellyn Bye Studio. Kodachrome was developed at The Armory's JAW: A Playwrights Festival in 2015 under the title Colchester and will be the company's 26th world premiere production.
