Broadway In Boston announced today that tickets for the upcoming Boston engagement of THE WIZARD OF OZ, are currently on sale to the public. THE WIZARD OF OZ will play a limited five performances at the Boston Opera House January 12-14, 2018 as part of the 2017-2018 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.

Rehearsals begin today for The 5th Avenue Theatre's new production of Mamma Mia!, the celebrated musical that features the music of global pop sensation ABBA. The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and the preservation of musical gems from the past, as part of its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, will present the staged reading of the new musical The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, with book and lyrics by David Spencer (The Fabulist), music Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors), and based on the novel by Mordecai Richler, for two performances only Monday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

The New York Philharmonic will celebrate its 175th birthday with a subscription program led by former Music Director Alan Gilbert; nearly 100 historic radio broadcast performances released for streaming for the first time; a New York Philharmonic Digital Archives release of all of the Orchestra's archival material from the 19th century; a New York Philharmonic Archives exhibit, The New York Philharmonic at 175: A History of Innovation; and a free Insights at the Atrium event, 'Inside the Orchestra: Yesterday, Today, and Imagining the Future,' with Philharmonic musicians.

San Jose Stage Company Artistic Director Randall King today announced the Company's 35th season. The Stage's 35th theatrical season is a benchmark of the region's live professional theater King said .a celebration we could not have realized without the tremendous patronage we continually experience. The Stage was founded 35 years ago with the mission of producing new works by emerging and established playwrights that explore the human condition. In celebration of their anniversary The Stage presents five works that contribute thoroughly to that mission. Audiences will be prompted to reflect on the polarity of emotions with each piece bringing its own unique analysis on the dividing lines of the human condition. When does pleasure become pain?
