Six Christmas Cards. Six Playwrights. Six New Plays!
Running December 13-23, 2024 in the TPS Center Theatre
The Victorian Christmas Cards short play festival returns for a second year - It's the World Premiere of six new plays by Seattle-based playwrights!
The tradition of sending greeting cards at Christmas time got its start during Queen Victoria's reign. But the cards of yesteryear feature artwork that may be surprising: both joyously and shockingly so! The Postmaster leads you into a land filled with Holiday Spirit and a bunch of characters you'll never forget.
What do feral cats, gnomes, and professional wrestlers have to do with Christmas? Let us show you in these brand new plays, created from quirky old cards! There is romance, humor, and a body slam or two!
Written by Alegra Batara, Alexei Sebastian Cifrese, Montse Garza, Christopher Kidder-Mostrom, Monty Rozema, and Catherine Blake Smith
Directed by Emily Fortuna, Rowan Gallagher, Kris Hambrick, Kirky Traylor-Thorson, Vicki Wicks, and Kendall Yoder
