This residency showing offers a sneak peek into Kara Beadle's process as they create their newest dance piece for Velocity Dance Center's 2027 Season. The Pile-Up maps the space taken by car culture in the landscapes of cities and the psyches of its citizens, set within Freeway Park, a wildlife crossing for humans bridging the arteries of I-5. The work is performed in collaboration with Alethea Alexander, Leah Crosby, Leo Othón, and Ben Swenson-Klatt, with music by Andy Zacek, created by Seattle-based interdisciplinary performance troupe Heap Troupe.
