Music Director Tigran Arakelyan leads the Northwest Mahler Festival orchestra in Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 3, the longest symphony in the standard repertoire, spanning nearly 100 minutes across six movements. Mezzo-soprano Laurel Semerdjian serves as the vocal soloist, joined by the Northwest Boychoir under Artistic Director Jacob Winkler and a Women's Chorus under Artistic Director Beth Ann Bonnecroy. Arakelyan has served as Music Director of the Northwest Mahler Festival since 2018 and is known for his dynamic interpretations. Semerdjian is a premier international soloist renowned for bringing emotional depth to Mahler's vocal movements.
