The Harlequin Stage Presents a Rock 'N Roll Adaptation of Shakespeare's TWELFTH NIGHT, Now thru 7/20

By:

The Harlequin stage is about to ignite with our own rock'n'rollicking musical adaptation of William Shakespeare'sTwelfth Night, wherein each of Shakespeare's characters bears a striking resemblance to a familiar rock icon. An Elvis-like Duke Orsino carries a burnin' love for the beautiful and Madonna-like Olivia. John Lennon, Janis Joplin, Bob Marley, Johnny Rotten, and Little Richard also become entwined in Shakespeare's most outrageous comedy. Featuring music by Bruce Whitney and lyrics by Scot Whitney, each of the thirty original songs is performed in the style of the rock star represented!

Fourth Time's a Charm

A Rock'n'Roll Twelfth Night is a true Harlequin classic! Written in 1996 by Managing Artistic Director Scot Whitney and Musical Director Bruce Whitney, the show has blown audiences away on the Harlequin stage three previous times: 1996, 1999, and 2003. After more than a decade, this celebrated and oft-requested musical is back to delight Olympia audiences once again!
