In conjunction with its Mainstage show, Jeeves in Bloom, Taproot Theatre Company hosts a free special event on Tuesday, February 19 at 7:30pm called, What's So Funny? Exploring the Enduring Comedy of P.G. Wodehouse.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest comic writers of the 20th century, P.G. Wodehouse published over 70 novels and 200 short stories during his lifetime. The lovable Wodehousian characters (including Bertie Wooster and his valet, Jeeves) have been continually revived on stage, in film and on television. So, what is it about Wodehouse that keeps each new generation laughing? Wodehouse experts, Wodehouse fans and Wodehouse beginners explore the enduring comedy of this unique writer in What's So Funny at Taproot Theatre. Panelists include Karen Lund (Associate Artistic Director, Taproot Theatre Company) and Wodehouse aficionados, Ian Michaud (Broadcaster, Secretary for The Wodehouse Society) and Major Thomas L. R. Smith, Ph.D. (Regular Contributor to The Wodehouse Society journals: Wooster Sauce and Plum Lines).

Jeeves in Bloom's Conversations event, What's So Funny?, is first in Taproot Theatre's 2013 season Conversations series, and takes place on Tuesday, February 19 at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7 pm) at Taproot Theatre Company, located at 204 North 85th Street, Seattle.
