West of Lenin & The Panel Jumper will present The Panel Jumper **Live** Chapter IV on Friday, April 14th, 2017 at 8:00pm to celebrate the magic of sequential storytelling with live performance.

Join us for our fourth chapter celebrating the magic of sequential storytelling-comic books! Produced in collaboration with West of Lenin, this one-night gala features the talents of nerd-rock pioneer Kyle Stevens, better known as the internationally recognized singer/songwriter Kirby Krackle! Director/playwright Andrew Shanks (Ghost Light Theatricals' Battle of the Bards XI Winner) offers up a newly commissioned short play probing the unexamined life of daikaiju performers with "MAN IN SUIT!" SketchFest Seattle headliners and Best of Fest trio, Day Job share their inimitable brand of physical comedy, heartwarmingly bizarre interactions...and pigeons. We'll also screen an all-new Panel Jumper episode devoted to a tragic chapter in the history of Batman and Robin! Our industry guest Tatiana Gill, a Seattle-based cartoonist, illustrator, and teacher, whose work delves into feminism and body positivity, will share her insights and then join us for a special live recording with the crew of the Perfect Bound Podcast. We'll close out the evening with a steaming cup of Café au Lait Olé wherein she'll tarry with tribbles and deliver some light-brewed burlesque guaranteed to take us WHERE NO ONE HAS GONE BEFORE.

A web series that goes all the way to the rivets to examine the details of comic book history and lore, The Panel Jumper is a quirky documentary-style program that unearths the seldom-celebrated, always colorful tales of comic book culture. Written and co-produced by Cole Hornaday (Boxoffice Magazine, Annex Theatre's Team of Heroes Trilogy and Puny Humans) and Ben Laurance (Caution Zero Network, SketchFest, and Gude/Laurance) this video series has intrigued and inspired name industry notables with their unique blend of history and humor. Find it on YouTube.

The show is set for West of Lenin, 203 North 36th, Seattle, WA 98103. Tickets: $10 at the door or online. Arrive in costume and receive $1 off your first drink. Attendees must be at least 18 years of age.
