Seattle Women’s Chorus Will Perform Songs From The Great American Songbook

Hear the impact of female artists with The Great American Songbook with the Seattle Women’s Chorus. The one-day-only Seattle Women’s Chorus concert includes 22 popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century all written or made famous by women, including “Get Happy,” “My Funny Valentine,” and “What a Wonderful World.” Video storytelling will illuminate the performances.

“This concert showcases the timeless appeal of these beloved classics and celebrates the groundbreaking contributions of talented and influential female singers and songwriters who shaped this rich musical legacy,” said Paul Caldwell, Artistic Director of Seattle Women’s Chorus. “Their artistry and resilience continue to inspire us, and we can’t wait to bring their stories and songs to life on stage.”

“We’re excited for audiences to experience the Seattle Women’s Chorus’ celebration of the Great American Songbook,” said Craig Coogan, Executive Director of Seattle Women’s Chorus. “This timeless music has a unique ability to connect us all, and the talent and passion of the Chorus will bring these classic songs to life in a way that’s both nostalgic and fresh.”

Performances are on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.*
