Seattle Center Teen Tix, an arts access program for teenagers, partners with local arts organizations to make it possible for its members to purchase $5.00 day-of admissions. Now in its sixth year of operation, Teen Tix provides Seattle area teenagers with access to 37 arts organizations, including Pacific Northwest Ballet, Seattle Opera, Seattle Art Museum, EMP|SFM, On the Boards, ACT Theatre, Bellevue Arts Museum and Seattle International Film Festival. In 2009, nearly 5,000 teenagers used Teen Tix to access the arts.

The Teeny Awards are just one part of Teen Tix's strategy to engage young people in Seattle's vibrant cultural scene. The list of this year's awardees includes some of the Seattle area's most venerable large arts organizations, as well as severAl Smaller professional arts groups. The complete list of awards and winners will be revealed on the Teen Tix blog (teentix.blogspot.com) on July 7, 2010.
