Inspired by great mafia stories like The Godfather and The Sopranos comes Jet City Improv's newest original feature-length comedy Wise Guys.

Every night's performance will follow the rise and fall of the next great mob boss, from the first carnation in his lapel to his final date with destiny, while the audience serves as the shows' consigliere. In fact, every audience at Wise Guys will be responsible for deciding the how the family makes their money, who's in charge, and who can't be trusted. From there, the improvisers will take the family through a decades-long story of outrageous hit jobs, rival gangs, love and betrayal.

"I love the genre because the characters are so big and complicated," says creator and director Jeremy Brown. "The genre gives permission to make a known criminal and murderer into a hero. There will be people in the audience wondering why they are pulling for a criminal, but they will still want to see him come out on top. I love that."

As Joe Pesci's monologue in Goodfellas may suggest ("I make you laugh? I'm here to [expletive] amuse you?"), this mob comedy will feature language, violence, and themes worthy of the roughest crime syndicates but not recommended for all audiences.

The cast features a collection of improvisers and comedians from across Seattle:Phill Arensberg, Mike Glissmeyer, Joe Koenen, Katy Nuttman, Jen Rizor, David Rollison, Destiny Sund, Kat Wertzler and Dan Zertuche.

Wise Guys runs Thursday and Friday nights from July 10 to Aug 22 with a special Opening Night Gala on July 10 featuring a Q & A with the actors followed by complimentary cake and champagne. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 (with ID) for students, seniors, and military personnel and TPS members.
