Seattle Center Festál: Irish Festival Seattle, 12 p.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday, March 14-15, at Seattle Center Armory, brings together performers and artists to present Irish culture in our region. The two-day festival is filled with traditional jigs, Irish exhibits, drumming and genealogy.

Irish Festival Seattle is part of Irish Week 2020, which showcases what it means to be Irish. The Festival offers non-stop Irish music, singing, dancing, booths selling Irish and Celtic products, Irish food and libations, workshops, lectures, cultural displays, exhibits and children's contests and activities. It also includes a Sunday afternoon drawing for two free flights to Ireland.

The Festival hosts a Lego artist, who will recreate the historic Rock of Cashel from Lego bricks, including the grounds, graves and the wall, all on a green Lego hill. Joanne McFall, with Cré Crafts in Ireland, conducts Celtic ceramics demonstrations on both days of the Festival. Celtic Life & Heritage presents live workshops both days on how to ignite your child's Irish exploration, with presentations on Irish history, an Irish card game and a video journey through Ireland.

Seattle Center Festál highlights the culturally rich communities who help shape the character and course of our region. The series provides a forum for cultural groups to come together, where they can share their stories with the greater community--and where all can feel a sense of belonging. The series began in 1997 to offer a central place for festivals to invite the public to join in their unique cultural expression.

Seattle Center presents Festál: Irish Festival in partnership with Irish Heritage Club of Seattle as part of a series that provides a stage and platform for the traditions and accomplishments of the participating communities. Admission is free of charge. For more information, visit www.seattlecenter.com/festal or call 206-684-7200.
