The internationally acclaimed Icicle Creek Piano Trio: Jennifer Caine, violin; Sally Singer, cello; Oksana Ezhokina, piano, will perform a short concert and present their brilliant new CD of Haydn, Turina, and Shostakovich Trios, lauded as "...simply one fantastic performance...demotes even the best of the rest to second class..." (Fanfare Magazine) at Seattle's Town Hall on March 4, 2011 at 7 pm.

The Icicle Creek Piano Trio, whose performance has been called "...definitive..." (Fanfare Magazine) and full of "exquisite sheen and vibrancy..." (Gramophone Magazine) and whose members hail from the United States, United Kingdom, and Russia, along with impressive performance backgrounds, is resident ensemble at Icicle Creek Music Center, a non-profit arts organization in Leavenworth, Washington. The Trio created major waves in the chamber music world with their debut recording of Ravel and Schubert Trios, released on the Con Brio label in 2008, garnering rave reviews from the American Record Guide, Gramophone Magazine, The Strad Magazine, and Fanfare Magazine, among others.

Now, in the midst of their concert engagements around the Northwest and beyond, which included a performance in Russia with the St. Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic, the Icicle Creek Piano Trio has recently released a stellar second CD featuring Haydn's lovely Piano Trio in E Major, Hob. XV: 28, Turina's enchanting Circulo for Piano Trio, Op. 91, and Shostakovich's monumental Piano Trio No. 2 in E Minor, Op. 67.

This new recording has once again captured the critics' imagination, who cited the Icicle Creek Piano Trio's performance alongside that of earlier recordings by well-know chamber ensembles saying those recordings "... must now cede pride of place to this new one by the Icicle Creek Piano Trio...a must for all chamber music lovers." (Fanfare Magazine)

The Icicle Creek Piano Trio will present a short performance and reception at Town Hall with CD sales and signing. Champagne, cider, and cookies will be served.

Come personally experience the extraordinary artistry of the truly magnificent Icicle Creek Piano Trio, who are well on their way to taking the chamber music world by storm.

This event is free of charge. Please RSVP by March 1 by email at icicle@icicle.org or call
