Tacoma Little Theatre has announced the appointment of Blake R. York to the position of Technical Director.

He has been involved in every aspect of theatre in the past thirteen years, most notably as an actor and scenic designer. Blake has worked at Tacoma Little Theatre, The Merc Playhouse in Twisp, WA, Lakewood Playhouse, Pierce College, Tacoma Musical Playhouse, Olympia Little Theatre, and many Jr. and Sr. High schools in the greater Tacoma area.

Blake first appeared at TLT onstage as Dogberry in William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing in 2008 and has been performing there regularly ever since. He was seen in the 2013-2014 season as "himself" in The Complete Works.....Abridged, and as David O. Selznick in Moonlight and Magnolias. Blake has frequently designed at TLT since their 2009 season and has spent the last year as their resident scenic designer and master carpenter.

"Blake has been a tremendous asset to TLT this past year as our Resident Set Designer and Master Carpenter" says Chris Serface, TLT's Managing Artistic Director. "He's made my first year here run extremely smooth and it made perfect sense that Blake join the family as our Technical Director."

Blake lives in Fircrest with his fiancé Jen and their dog Sophie. When outside of the theater they enjoy traveling as much as possible.
