Having been seen by over 35 million theatregoers, The Rocky Horror Show is the story of two squeaky clean college kids–Brad and his fiancée Janet. When by a twist of fate, their car breaks down outside a creepy mansion whilst on their way to visit their former college professor, they meet the charismatic Dr Frank-n-Furter. It is an adventure they’ll never forget, filled with fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity.

Richard O'Brien's cult classic musical will play Storyhouse in Chester as part of a national tour, with Stephen Webb leading the cast as Dr Frank-N-Furter alongside Jackie Clune, James Bisp, and Haley Flaherty.

Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show premiered in London in 1973, born from his love of sci‑fi B‑movies and glam rock, and quickly grew into a cult theatrical hit celebrated for its wild, subversive energy.

On a sultry Auckland night (in more ways than one), an expectant crowd gathered, some in drag and raucous garb, others bustling from a long week of work. The majestic Civic Theatre beckoned with ample arms, its two tiered hall resplendent in historic finery. The scene was set for Richard O’Brien’s legendary show to explode on opening night – and, boy, did it deliver!

There are shows that invite the audience to watch, and others where you cannot help but participate. The Rocky Horror Show firmly belongs to the latter category, and its arrival at the Grand Théâtre proved to be nothing short of electrifying.

This week, we had the pleasure of interviewing Stephen Webb, the actor currently playing Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show. Ahead of the show’s premiere at the Grand Théâtre, the acclaimed actor took a moment to answer some of our questions.

Pinocchio at the Globe Theatre is a radiant and heartfelt triumph which transforms a much loved story into a richly imaginative new musical. The atmosphere is electric, with the standing audience filling the lower space, with a striking set emblazoned with giant letters spelling PINOCCHIO framed by grand red curtains, ensuring the sense of occasion is unmistakable.
