Review: DERREN BROWN: ONLY HUMAN, Apollo Theatre

by Franco Milazzo — Oct 23, 2026

After being taken on a lengthy tour of the UK and Ireland, Only Human comes to the West End as Brown’s first appearance since 2022’s Showman, a post-pandemic show filled with highly personal insights. Its follow-up Unbelievable saw Brown remain backstage as co-creator, writer and co-director (alongside Andy Nyman and Andrew O’Connor), with Simon Lipkin and a company of actor-musicians out front. (In a neat twist, Lipkin has set up home next door to the Apollo as Dickens’s arch-pickpocket Fagin in Oliver!)

Interview: 'An Iconic Role Like This Can Be Daunting': Actor Billy Nevers On The West End Revival of RENT

by Kat Mokrynski — Oct 23, 2026

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, one of the most beloved musicals of all time, RENT, has returned to the West End. Written by Jonathan Larson, the Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning show - inspired by Puccini’s La bohème - follows the lives of a group of young people living in New York City in the 1990s. Recently, we had the chance to speak with Billy Nevers, who plays Tom Collins in this production of RENT. We discussed what it has been like to take on such an iconic musical, his favourite songs from the show to perform and listen to and even what it was like to rehearse for this show whilst in Jesus Christ Superstar!

Interview: Writer/Performer Karen Agam Macarah of THE DYSMORPHIC DIVA at The Braid

by Shari Barrett — Oct 22, 2026

The latest offering from The Braid is The Dysmorphic Diva, written and performed by Karen Agam Macarah (pictured, credit David Chiu). Fresh from its sold-out run at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, her confessional cabaret shares how the shape we see in the mirror and how our family sees us shapes who we are for the rest of our lives. I spoke with Karen about how she developed her one-woman show, how she decided on which Broadway musical show tunes to sing, and which hilarious and touching true stories about family relationships and body struggles to include on her way to finding her best self.

Review: WIVES at East West Players

by Evan Henerson — Oct 22, 2026

Far more corny than it is cutting or inspiring...the play offers a few insights, scattered laughs and a ton of heavy-handed self-actualization. Even at 90 minutes, this one feels repetitive.

Senior Year: Diving in With an Open Heart

by Student Blogger: Dylan Rhodes — Oct 21, 2026

I love the idea that my future is open-ended. It galvanizes me. It ignites me. It lights up my soul. I have been blessed with a program, professors, and peers that have challenged me, pushed me, grown with me, and fostered and molded my passion in a way that is both useful and fulfilling.
