Crush is a British-Somali rom-com written by and performed by Hadsan Mohamud, in her writing debut, alongside Mohamed Hashi, and directed by Alena Sahota. The show follows two Somali teens, Najma and Zakariya, who meet in a clinic waiting room and form a connection through sketching, poetry, and shared secrets during their ongoing sessions. Inspired by Hadsan Mohamud's own lived experience with an eating disorder, the show explores mental health in Black and Muslim communities. London previews take place at Riverside Studios from 28-30 July 2026, ahead of the world premiere run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe from 5-30 August 2026.
