Immersive Thriller 00:45:00 Will Mke International Debut at Edinburgh Fringe
Writer-director Katie Gaven brings her LA-born production to theSpace @ Surgeons' Hall in Edinburgh.
Wilison Labs is set to make their international debut this Summer, bringing Katie Gaven's gripping immersive thriller, 00:45:00 to Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August.
Five people walk into a room, and only one will make it out alive. Set to have audiences on the edge of their seats, 00:45:00 is an experiment that asks 'is one person's life more valuable than another's, and who gets to make that decision?'
00:45:00 explores themes of moral responsibility, corruption of power, and the act of being complicit in a world that tempts us to ignore social injustice to protect our own sense of security. This piece dares those who sit back and watch to take action, allowing them to explore what happens when they do.
Writer and director of 00:45:00, Katie Gaven is an actress, a six-time published playwright, and a director of her own work from Los Angeles, California. She recently graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where her original play 00:45:00 was produced for the first time. Gaven has received recognition from the Scholastics Art and Writing Awards, The Blank Theatre's Young Playwright Contest, and the California Young Playwrights Contest. 00:45:00 is generously supported by the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts & fiscally sponsored by the Producer Hub in New York City.
00:45:00 is performing at Edinburgh Festival Fringe from 17th - 28th August (excluding 23rd), as below: 17th - 22nd August at 10:35am (50 mins) theSpace @ Surgeons' Hall - Stephenson Theatre (venue number 53) 24th - 28th August at 22:35pm (50 mins) theSpace @ Venue 45 (venue number 45).
