Returning to The Amelia Musical Playhouse stage for a limited showing. Our 2019 showing received four BroadwayWorld Jacksonville nominations for Best Actor in a Musical (2), Best Actress in a Musical and Best Musical. Loosely based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, Superstar follows the last week of Jesus Christs life. The story, told entirely through song, explores the personal relationships and struggles between Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalene, his disciples, his followers, and the Roman Empire.
