ensembleNewSRQ presents its ninth season, culminating in a performance of Wolfgang Rihm's Jagden und Formen on May 12, 2025, at the Sarasota Opera House. This work showcases dramatic rhythmic interplay performed by a 25-musician ensemble, with Conor Hanick featured on piano. Co-artistic directors Samantha Bennett and George Nickson emphasize the season's celebration of contemporary masterworks, including premieres and collaborations with emerging composers. Other highlights include works honoring the 150th birthdays of Arnold Schoenberg and Charles Ives, featuring Stephen Drury and local artist Thea Lobo.
