Barber’s String Quartet is best known for its searing Adagio, one of classical music’s most recognizable works. Hear it in its original form as the second movement of Barber’s complete quartet. Bernstein’s final work, the Dance Suite for brass quintet, honors one of the 20th century’s great choreographers. Music by Frank Bridge and Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin complete the program.
Sarasota Orchestra announced today a reimagined season that brings the joy and inspiration of classical and pops music to the community while maintaining health and safety for its patrons, musicians, staff and volunteers.
Some of the greatest works of music ever composed, performed by many of the world's finest soloists, will be part of Sarasota Orchestra's 2020 - 2021 season.
