SBCC Theatre presents PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE Student Showcase, Runs 11/18-22, 12/2-5

By: Oct. 12, 2009

SBCC Theatre Arts Department presents the comedy PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE by Steve Martin. This student showcase will run November 18-22, December 2-5, 2009 in SBCC's Interim Theatre.

Two guys walk into a bar.

But not just any two guys, and not just any bar.

Its 1904, and Pablo Picasso and Albert Einstein meet by chance, for one magical, mythical night at the infamous Parisian dive, The Lapin Agile. The father of modern science meets the father of modern art with the new century still in its infancy. Witness the dawning of the 20th century as it could only be imagined by comic genius Steve Martin.

Relativity and cubism have never been so funny!

Directed by Rick Mokler and featuring talented students, PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE will run Wednesday through Saturday @ 8pm and Sunday, Nov. 22 @ 2pm (this matinee performance will be live-captioned for the hearing impaired.) Tickets are $15 general,

$12 seniors, $6 students and can be reserved by calling the Interim Theatre

Box Office at 965-5935. Box Office hours are Monday through Friday, 1-5pm.
