Out of the Box Theatre Co. Presents REEFER MADNESS!, 4/7-4/11

Out of the Box Theatre Company, a newly formed theatre group dedicated to providing the Santa Barbara community with contemporary musical theatre and new works, is proud to present Reefer Madness!: The 'Hit' Musical. The production is directed by Sara Rademacher, with musical direction by Laura Hemenway and choreography by Angela Carty, and will take place at Center Stage Theater (751 Paseo Nuevo, 2nd floor.)

Inspired by the classic 1936 anti-marijuana propaganda film, this raucous musical comedy tells the tale of Jimmy Harper, an all-American youth whose life falls into a pit of debauchery and despair after one puff of the leafy green assassin. Will his love for his school sweetheart Mary Lane be enough to save him from the wickedness of the Mary Jane? Contains campy violence, adult language, drug references, sexual content, and American values. Ages 13+.

Featuring: Kim Bishop, Francis Espineli, Samantha Eve, Jonathan Hyatt, Sean Jackson, Emily Jewell, Lauren Kivowitz, Jessica Lenz, Geren Piltz, Shaun Plander, Adam Quinney, and Natascha Skerczak.

Performances are April 7th-10th at 8PM, and April 11th at 2PM and 8PM.
