NEXT TO NORMAL Concludes Out of the Box Theatre's 3rd Season, Now thru 5/12

By: May. 05, 2013

Out of the Box Theatre Company is finishing off their third season with an intimate black box production of the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, Next to Normal. Directed by Samantha Eve, the limited engagement of this emotional powerhouse of a musical will run May 2 - May 12 (Thursday-Sunday) at Center Stage Theater in Santa Barbara, CA.

Next to Normal has a Tony Award-winning score by Tom Kitt (music) and Brian Yorkey (book and lyrics). The nearly sung-through rock musical is a heart-swelling, searingly painful dissection of a mother's mental illness and her suburban family trying to hold it all together. The cast features Deborah Bertling as Diana, Matthew Wiedle as Dan, Taylor Courtney as Natalie, Skyler Jones as Henry, Christopher Lee Short as Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden and Connor Gould as Gabe.

Other members of the creative team include music director John Douglas, technical director Brad Spaulding, and set and lighting designer Theodore Michael Dolas.

Tickets can be purchased by calling (805) 963-0408 or visiting outoftheboxtheatre.org.
