Huey Calhoun, a charismatic white disc jockey with a burning passion for the forbidden music of black artists, defies convention to play it on his radio show.

Memphis the Musical is a vibrant celebration of the birth of rock and roll. The energetic score blends the sounds of rhythm and blues, gospel, and early rock, featuring infectious tunes that will have you tapping your feet. Powerful vocals and dynamic choreography complement the story, transporting you to the electrifying atmosphere of the 1950s music scene.

Complete Cast & Creative Announced for World Premiere of GODDESS, Starring Amber Iman & More at Berkeley Rep

Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere musical, Goddess. The musical stage production is conceived and directed by Saheem Ali, music and lyrics by Michael Thurber, and written by Jocelyn Bioh. Previews begin Saturday, August 13, and the show runs through Sunday, September 25.
