Trip to Bountiful Plays Actors Theatre of SF
The Actors Theatre of San Francisco proudly presents Horton Foote's acclaimed play, The Trip to Bountiful, through September 9.
"The legendary Jean Shelton returns to the stage for the first time in thirty years in The Trip to Bountiful, by Pulitzer Prize-winning dramatist, Horton Foote," states press notes. "Set in 1947, Carrie Watts (Shelton) finds herself in the twilight of her life, trapped in a city apartment, miles from the small town of her birth. Watts sets her mind on returning to her hometown and begins a cathartic odyssey that forms the plot to this timeless story."The Trip to Bountiful, directed by Jennifer Welch and Rachel Klyce, also features Keith Burkland, Scott Agar Jaicks, Tim Meehan, Jenny Dare Paulin, Christian Phillips, Duncan Phillips, and Niki Yapo.For tickets, please call the ATSF box office at 415-345-1287 or order online at www.ticketweb.com.
