As a powerful winter storm moves across large portions of the United States, BroadwayWorld is monitoring performance cancellations, schedule changes, and venue closures affecting Broadway, touring productions, regional theatre, and live events nationwide. Forecasters at NOAA and the National Weather Service warn that heavy snow, sleet, freezing rain, and dangerously cold temperatures are expected to impact hundreds of millions of people from January 23 through early next week, creating hazardous travel conditions and increasing the likelihood of power outages. As conditions evolve, this page will provide ongoing updates on weather-related cancellations and advisories.

Atlanta
Variety Playhouse - The Tom Petty Musical: You Don’t Know How It Feels
Variety Playhouse has postponed Sunday’s performance of The Tom Petty Musical: “You Don’t Know How It Feels” due to anticipated severe weather conditions.
A new performance date has not yet been announced. Ticket holders will be contacted once rescheduling information becomes available.
Blue Man Group - Fox Theatre
Due to forecasted inclement winter weather in metro Atlanta, the Fox Theatre has postponed Blue Man Group performances originally scheduled for Saturday, January 24, and Sunday, January 25, 2026.
The performances have been rescheduled for June 16 and June 17, 2026. Tickets will be honored for the new dates. Patrons should check their email or contact the Fox Theatre box office for additional details regarding exchanges or refunds.

FronteraFest - Hyde Park Theatre and ScriptWorks
Saturday, January 24 Best of Week performances have been postponed to Saturday, February 7 at 2:00 PM. Those who have tickets for January 24 (tomorrow) can be transferred to the February 7 at 2:00 PM performance, OR can receive a refund.
Patrons can email hydeparktheatre@gmail.com or call Ken Webster at 512-300-3635 to let us know if they prefer to move their tickets to the 2:00 PM show on February 7 or be issued a refund.
Murder on the Orient Express - Zach Theatre
Due to the arctic freeze impacting Central Texas, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Saturday, January 24 7:30pm performance of Murder on the Orient Express.
Canceling is always our last resort! However, the extreme weather makes it unsafe for our cast, crew, and YOU to reach the theater. We know you made special plans to be with us, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Dancing With The Stars Live - Boch Center
Due to anticipated weather conditions on Sunday, January 25, the start time of Dancing with the Stars LIVE has moved from 7:00pm to 1:00pm. If you are unable to attend the new time or you prefer a refund, you have until Sunday, January 25 at 11:00AM ET to request one through your original point of purchase. For Ticketmaster purchases, log into your account, locate your tickets, and click the "Request Refund" button, or contact Ticketmaster customer service at 800-653-8000.
Central Virginia
Dynamic Duo Cabaret - Firehouse Theatre
Due to the snowstorm, The Dynamic Duo cabaret performance has been postponed. The show has been rescheduled for January 31 at 2:30 PM.

Monty Python's Spamalot - Blumenthal Performing Arts
Due to winter weather conditions, several performances of SPAMALOT at Belk Theater have been affected.
The Saturday, January 24 matinee at 2:00 PM will proceed as scheduled. The Saturday, January 24 evening performance at 7:30 PM has been rescheduled to Monday, January 26 at 7:30 PM. Sunday, January 25 performances have also been rescheduled. The 1:00 PM matinee will now take place on Tuesday, January 27 at 2:00 PM, and the 6:30 PM evening performance has been rescheduled to Tuesday, January 27 at 7:30 PM.
All impacted ticket holders will receive an email with additional information regarding their tickets.

Due to the forecasted severe weather advisory, for the wellbeing of our patrons the performance of Little Shop of Horrors scheduled for January 23rd at 7:30pm is cancelled.
The venue asks patrons contact the box office at 847-634-0200 to make alternative ticket arrangements.
Dallas
Hart Institute for Women Conductors 10th Anniversary Showcase - Dallas Opera
Inclement weather in the North Texas region has forced The Dallas Opera to cancel its upcoming Hart Institute for Women Conductors 10th Anniversary Showcase Concert, reception, and celebration dinner, originally scheduled for Sunday, January 25.
“We were so looking forward to celebrating the Hart Institute’s 10th anniversary this weekend,” said Ian Derrer, TDO’s Kern Wildenthal General Director and CEO. “However, the safety of our artists, audiences, and staff takes precedence. We hope to be able to celebrate this remarkable program in the future.”

Real Women Have Curves - Alley Theatre
Due to inclement weather, Alley Theatre will be closed on Sunday, January 25. Performances of Real Women Have Curves on Sunday have been canceled. Audience members who have already purchases tickets for those performances can reschedule for another performance of the production. The Mousetrap - Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre
Due to the extreme weather forecast, we have cancelled the matinee performance of The Mousetrap this Sunday, January 25th. The performance has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 7th, 2026. Ticket holders, please check your email for more information.

Sleeping Beauty - Alhambra Theatre
The Pennyroyal Arts Council has canceled the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Sleeping Beauty, which was scheduled for Jan. 26–31, due to impending inclement weather.

The Outsiders - Orpheum Theatre Memphis
Both remaining Sunday, January 25 performances of The Outsiders have been cancelled. Refunds for these performances will be automatically issued at the point of purchase. The Saturday, January 24th 2PM & 8PM shows will go on as scheduled. Only the Sunday, January 25th 2PM show has been cancelled. Patrons with tickets to the cancelled Sunday, January 25th 2PM performance are welcome to attend either of today’s Saturday, January 24th performances at 2PM or 8PM with no exchange fees.
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra - New Jersey Performing Arts Center

Beauty & The Beast - Civic Center Music Hall
Due to the unprecedented hazardous weather conditions forecasted now through Sunday, all Saturday and Sunday performances of Disney's Beauty and the Beast are cancelled. This includes the Saturday, January 24th 2:00p.m. & 7:30p.m. shows and the Sunday, January 25th 1:30 p.m. & 7:00p.m. shows.
OKC Broadway Season Subscribers and ALL ticket holders for the affected performances who purchased through OKC Broadway or Civic Center Music Hall official ticket outlets (online/phone/box office) will be contacted via email regarding exchange into a future OKC Broadway show or to receive a refund.
Frozen - Tulsa Performing Arts Center
Due to extreme weather forecasts, several schedule changes have been announced out of an abundance of caution. Saturday afternoon’s performance of Frozen has been canceled. The Saturday evening performance of Frozen has been rescheduled to Thursday, January 22, at 7:00 p.m.
All performances of Wind in the Willows scheduled for January 27 have been postponed.
All other performances are currently planned to proceed as scheduled. Refunds for canceled performances will be issued next week.
Mozart’s Gran Partita - Tulsa Symphony
Due to the forecasted inclement weather this weekend, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Sunday’s Symphony Sessions performance of Mozart’s Gran Partita at TU’s Lorton Performance Center on January 25. All ticket holders will receive a full refund. Refunds will be processed automatically to the original form of payment. Due to the severe weather forecast for Sunday, January 25, the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) and SUFFS have announced that the Sunday, January 25 matinee performance at 1PM and evening performance at 6:30PM have been cancelled.
Sunday, January 25th ticketholders who purchased from the PPAC Box Office and from ppacri.org do not need to take any further action; refunds will be automatically issued. Please allow five to seven business days for a refund to be posted to a ticketholder's account.
