Miss Coco Peru - Storyteller/monologist Miss Coco Peru aka Clinton Leupp got his/her start as a downtown favorite in the cabaret world of NY after he wrote, produced, directed, and starred in his first show "Miss Coco Peru in My Goddamn Cabaret" 20 years ago. On screen, Miss Coco is best known for her roles in Jim Fall's Fineline feature film, TRICK (Sundance 1999) and Richard Day's IFC feature length comedy GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS.(Sundance 2002) For this film Coco shared the Best Actress Award with his two co-stars Jeffery Roberson and Jack Plotnick at the HBO Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen as well as the Best Actor Award at Outfest Film Festival. Other film appearances include TO WONG FOO, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, JULIE NEWMAR, NICK AND JANE, and STRAIGHT-JACKET. Coco can be heard in the Disney animated feature, THE WILD as Mamma Hippo! DWV is an American pop group based in LA, consisting of drag queens William Belli, Detox Icunt and Vicky Vox. Willam was famously kicked off season 4 of RuPaul's Drag Race, however she became a fan favorite. Detox also joined the ranks of competing on RuPaul's Drag Race season 5. Vicky Vox has toured as a vocal trainer and backup singer, and now has become one of LA's most fascinating queens. Peaches Christ is the alter-ego of writer / director Joshua Grannell. Joshua attended film school at Penn State, where his senior thesis film Jizzmopper: A Love Story won the Audience Award upon graduation. It was during the production of this film that the character Peaches Christ was born played by Joshua himself. After graduation, Joshua moved to San Francisco, inspired by the tales of the Cockettes and the bohemian, underground art scene that perpetually flourishes there. Spending his days managing Landmark Theatres' movie houses in the Bay Area, and his nights immersed in the alternative drag world of Trannyshack, Joshua soon blended the two into Midnight Mass: a summer series of classic and contemporary cult cinema that ran for 12 years at Landmark's Bridge Theatre and became the most successful midnight movie series in the nation, with notoriety coming from Joshua's infamous pre-show extravaganzas. Screening new classics like Purple Rain and Showgirls, Midnight Mass is a pilgrimage, a house-party, street theatre and a movie screening all rolled into one. Special guests have included Elvira, Linda Blair, John Waters, Tura Satana, Mink Stole, Ru Paul and Mary Woronov. Peaches Christ has been featured on VH1's Totally Gay!, AMC's "Movies That Shook the World", and is featured in Gus Van Sant's Academy Award-winning filmMilk. Joshua Grannell is also the writer and director of the feature film All About Evil. The movie is a loving homage cult films as well as a celebration of surviving neighborhood movie houses. The movie suggests we should go to any length to save these old theatres... any length whatsoever. The award-winning dark comedy gore film stars Natasha Lyonne, Thomas Dekker, Cassandra Peterson, Mink Stole, and Peaches Christ herself. For it's unique theatrical release, the film went on a cross-country tour (a la William Castle) and featured the "Peaches Christ Experience in 4-D" as part of its presentation. Peaches joined stars from the movie to create a fully-realized stage-showspooktacular that preceded festival screenings and premieres. The film has received rave reviews from genre critics and fans world-wide and has won a number of film festival awards. The film is now available on DVD and screens regularly on cable TV (NBC / Universal's Chiller Network). For the past several years she has produced mega-events at the historic SF movie palace, the Castro Theatre and have featured special guest stars Cloris Leachman, Appolonia, Barry Bostwick, Sharon Needles, and Pam Grier. He's also a professor teaching filmmaking and performance through character creation at the San Francisco Art Institute.
