Yoshi's, 1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco

The 3rd SF Filipino American Jazz Festival premieres October 10 at Yoshi's in San Francisco's jazz district. Headlining this year's festival is pianist and singer Primo Kim, joined by his special guest vocalist, Jo Canion. Also on the bill are Tokyo-based singer and recording artist, Charito, and Sandra Lim Viray, jazz vocalist from Manila.

Providing musical accompaniment is a stellar group of seasoned Bay Area jazz artists. Pianist Larry Chinn, bassist Frank Passantino, and drummer Buddy Barnhill will back Primo Kim and Jo Canion. The Jeffrey Chin Trio featuring Jeffrey on piano, Mark Lee on Drums, and Ron Belcher on bass will accompany both Charito and Sandra Lim Viray. The horn section for both ensembles will feature Al Molina on trumpet and Melecio Magdaluyo on saxophone.

This annual benefit/fundraiser of the SF Fil-Am Jazz Festival helps us present free public events throughout the year. Thank you for your support!
