TJT Presents STATELESS: A HIP HOP VAUDEVILLE EXPERIENCE 10/22-12/6

By:

The Jewish Theatre San Francisco (TJT) opens its first season under its new name with the world premiere of Dan Wolf and Tommy Shepherd's STATELESS: A HIP HOP VAUDEVILLE EXPERIENCE running from Thursday, October 22 - Sunday, December 6, 2009, at The Jewish Theatre, 470 Florida Street, San Francisco. Directed by Ellen Sebastian Chang, STATELESS is a hip hop theatrical collaboration created by Dan Wolf and Tommy Shepherd telling their stories from the Jewish-American and African-American experience.

The play comes on the heels of the incredible success of Wolf's Angry Black White Boy that played to sold out houses and had multiple extensions at Intersection For The Arts last season. STATELESS is inspired by Wolf's true story that weaves German and Jewish history with contemporary hip-hop music, beat-box vocal rhythms and vaudeville to uncover the lost state of his family's new American identity. STATELESS features music composed by One Ring Zero with the Gebrueder Wolf, Tommy Shepherd and Keith Pinto.
