SCROOGE IN LOVE!, Starring Jason Graae, to Return to 42nd Street Moon for the Holidays

Last season's smash-hit world premiere, Scrooge in Love! returns to 42nd Street Moon to provide audiences with the perfect show for the entire family this holiday season. Scrooge in Love! shows us what happens next when Ebenezer Scrooge wakes up the morning after the classic Dickens tale A Christmas Carol takes place, and begins the journey to find true love. Thanks to the popularity of the show in 2015, this year's version will be even more spectacular - featuring a larger cast, new tunes, and a larger venue, with performances at Marines' Memorial Theatre in San Francisco.

In addition to being a hit with audiences, Scrooge in Love! was a success with the Theatre Bay Area Award adjudicators as well, garnering eight Theatre Bay Area Award nominations, including Best World Premiere Production. Jason Graee reprises his role as Ebenezer Scrooge, an actor of whom The New York Times recently said: "Nowadays, probably no other performer could infuse (that song) with the manic mischief that Jason Graae, a frisky clown with a real tenor, pumped into it..." Prior to taking on Scrooge in Love!, Graee starred on Broadway in: A Grand Night for Singing, Falsettos, Stardust, Snoopy!!!, and Do Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect up?. Off- Broadway shows include: Forever Plaid, Olympus on My Mind, All in the Timing, and Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (Drama Desk Nomination- Best Actor in a Musical) and many more. San Francisco audiences will remember Jasonfrom Moon's Little Me, in which he played the seven Sid Caesar roles. He has been heard on many cartoons and, for five and a half years, he was the voice of "Lucky, the Leprechaun" for Lucky Charms Cereal, a balanced part of your complete breakfast.

Director Dyan McBride describes Scrooge in Love! as "an optimistic, charmingly funny and deeply emotional show. It celebrates the ideas of family, love and time with its glorious score and clever book/lyrics. The piece asks us to think about time in all its manifestations. How do you reconcile the past with the present? What does the future hold? Can you come to terms with regrets and set them right? Add the ideas of family, weddings, death and seasons, and you have a heady concept that binds this beautiful new show together."
