Ross Valley Players to Present ROBIN HOOD, 7/14-8/14

ROSS VALLEY PLAYERS is pleased to presents the family favorite Robin Hood by Ivey Award-winner Greg Banks. This classic tale of good vs. evil follows the legend of Robin Hood and his merry band, who rob from the rich and dishonest to give to the poor. This story of resiliency, compassion and heroism is told with an easygoing and humorous twist that both children and adults will love. Robin Hood begins with a preview on Thursday, July 14th and runs through Sunday, August 14th. Opening night is Friday, July 15th at 8PM. www.rossvalleyplayers.com

Robin Hood and his merry band of underground heroes rally to support those who cannot fight for themselves. But when they run afoul of the greedy Prince John, the deceptive Sheriff of Nottingham devises an elaborate plot to discover Robin's hideout and capture him once and for all. Full of swordfights and wordplay, this modern take on the classic story is a high-powered, action-packed, fun adventure. Robin Hood is directed by Cris Cassell.

Performances are Thursday, July 14th (Preview Night) through Sunday, August 14th, with Opening Night on Friday, July 15th at 8PM. Thursday performances are at 7:30PM; Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM; Sunday matinees at 2PM. (Please note there is no matinee on Sunday, July 17th).

SPECIAL KIDS WEEKEND: JULY 21 - 24

Children 18 and under who are dressed in costume get FREE admission into the play (with a paying adult).

Ticket prices are $29 general admission with discounts for seniors and students available. Thursday night tickets prices are $25 for adults with discounts for seniors and students available. Pay-What- You-Will is on Preview Night - Thursday, July 14th ($10 minimum donation suggested).

Audience members are invited to participate in "Talkback" with the director and actors after the matinee performances on Sunday, July 24th and 31st. Buzz at the Barn, a pre-show cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres and wine, will take place on Saturday, July 16th at 7PM.
