Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (The Center) announced that Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Jeff Beck will bring his dynamic style and sound to Santa Rosa on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 8 p.m. The Grammy award winning guitarist known for his incredible improvisations and jazz-infused rock albums brings his legendary live performance for one night only to the Center. Tickets range in price from $79-$149 and are available online at lutherburbankcenter.org, by calling 707-546-3600 or at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts ticket office (50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa).

Considered one of the most influential guitarists in history, Jeff Beck helped shape the sounds of blues rock, psychedelia, and heavy metal, inspiring guitar players for decades with his unique style and explosive sound. While Beck's groups may have been short-lived, the impact they made and his aggressive style, encompassing screaming, bent, sustained notes, distortion, feedback, and fast, crisply articulated passages, continues to influence and entice musicians and fans alike. As one of the most inventive guitarists of his generation, Jeff Beck is also one of a relative handful of musicians who have been twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - with the Yardbirds and as a solo artist and bandleader.

A seven-time Grammy award winner, Beck was ranked fifth on the list of "100 greatest guitarists of all time" by Rolling Stone magazine. His career has been filled with unpredictable twists and turns, yet there is consistency in the experimental streak that has always been a hallmark of his playing. An innovator, Beck's spontaneous style and self-direction have kept his music moving forward for decades. From his time with the Yardbirds, through various incarnations of the Jeff Beck Group, and having performed and recorded with a who's who of artists including Mick Jagger, Malcolm McLaren, Roger Waters, and Jon Bon Jovi, he continues to leave his musical mark to this day.
