Photo Flash: CABARET at 6th Street Playhouse!

By: Apr. 04, 2011

Leave your troubles outside for the 6th Street Playhouse production of "Cabaret," directed by David Lear, which runs April 15 to May 15, 2011.  This production is for mature audiences.

"Cabaret" is set in Berlin at the end of the Jazz Age, just before Hitler's rise to power in Germany. One escape from reality is at the decadent Kit Kat Klub cabaret. The Tony award-winning musical cleverly reflects political and social turbulence as it follows an idealistic American writer, Clifford Bradshaw and the Kit Kat Klub's irrepressible performer, Sally Bowles - out of the club and into the reality of 1930s Berlin.

The cast features Ralph Avalon as the Emcee and Marjorie Rose Taylor as Sally Bowles, Mark Bradbury as Clifford Bradshaw; Norman A. Hall as Herr Schultz; Shirley Nilsen Hall as Fräulein Schneider; Samson Hood as Ernest and Mo McElroy as Fräulein Kost. Also in the cast are Jessica Bauman, Diane Dearmore, Tim Earls, Kit Grimm, Zena Hinds, Arnie House, Christina Ingram, Katie Kelley, April Krautner, Julianne Lorenzen, Brandon Phipps, Jeff Roth, Dana Scott, Zane Walters, Peter Warden, Megan Watt and Jacquelyn Wells.

The 6th Street Playhouse is located in the historic Railroad Square district of Santa Rosa, just an hour north of San Francisco. The address is 52 West 6th Street, Santa Rosa. For tickets or more information call 707-523-4185 or visit www.6thstreetplayhouse.com.
