POONSTRUCK follows a shero's journey told through the orifices of Dr Tallulah (Nesbitt), a fiery Sexual Activist, Zen Cosmetologist, Intuitive Energy Healer, and Vaginal Consciousness (VAGCON) Pioneer. Imagine a metaphysical cross between Archie Bunker, Dr Ruth, Carol Burnett, and Maria Bamford with a splash of cosmic viagra! POONSTRUCK juxtaposes pratfalls with the seriousness, absurdities with sincerity, and pathos with humor while exploring themes of aging, womanhood, sexuality, alienation, and intimacy.

Come witness Dr Tallulah's humorous and spiraling descent into the exploration of her sexuality, which ultimately reveals her HEART's truest desire. 'Heartfelt, hilarious, and total activism!' (original, one women, story, performance, physical comedy, foam roller).

ARTIST Performer/Producer Kelly Nesbitt (Portland Oregon), is a performance artist who creates original outlandish performances that are character driven, rooted in movement-based theater, find power in the femme experience, and defy easy categorization. Audiences members have described her comedic performances as transcendentalist hilarity, wonderfully wrenching, and utterly inexplicable! kellynesbitt.com

Now celebrating its 26th season, the San Francisco Fringe Festival presents a bold line-up of eclectic theatrical offerings for adventurous and open-minded audiences of all persuasions. Often over-the-top and under-the-radar of traditional theatre-going fare, the Fringe champions the motto No Risk, No Art and has its rabid devotees and wins more fans every year. Most performances run under one hour and it all takes place under one roof, allowing audiences to march from venue to venue, seeing as many shows as possible in a single day.

The 2017 San Francisco Fringe Festival runs September 8 through 23, with performances all days except Mondays, and brings 30 unique productions to San Francisco's EXIT Theatreplex located at 156 Eddy Street in the Tenderloin.
