The National Acrobats of the People's Republic of China--the National Acrobats of China for short- will be performing at the Gallo Center for the Arts for the third time on Thursday, September 18 at 7pm.

Tickets for the event range in price from $15 to $45, and may be purchased online at www.galloarts.org, by calling 209-338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto. Groups of 15 or more people receive a 15% discount on ticket prices. Group sales information is available by calling 209-338-5062.

The troupe was established by the People's Republic of China in 1951, and has an athletic repertoire that millions of people from more than 40 nations have experienced. At the company's Beijing home base and training center, more than 150 resident performers and 500 students of all ages train constantly to perform such award-winning, traditional acts as "Slack Wire," "Diabolo," and "China Soul." In more recent years, the company has added such gravity-defying spectacles as "Mirage," "Mirage of Dragons," "Confuscise," "Pirates!," and "Sun Birds."
