By: Tyler Peterson
Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (The Center) announced the 2016-2017 Clover Stornetta Family Fun Series, featuring six shows for young audiences and families. The Center continues its commitment to including dynamic family entertainment as a key part of its programming with a new lineup of educational and interactive performances in Santa Rosa. Fall through spring, the series will delight audiences of all ages with shows sure to astound, entertain, enlighten and engage featuring critically-acclaimed educational live shows, astounding performers (and dogs!), and insightful stories that come to life on stage.
Ticket holders for the series will also have access to Free Fun with Art, featuring art projects specially designed to complement every show, starting one hour before each performance. Audiences are also invited to stay after each show for an autograph session with the cast (after all shows except The Peking Acrobats). "As an organization dedicated to serving and strengthening our community through the arts, creating a space for quality family time is an essential part of our work here at the LBC," says President & CEO Rick Nowlin. "And we applaud the continued support of Clover Stornetta, our presenting partner, which enables us to provide tickets at an accessible price, helping to allow as many families as possible to participate in these fun and educational performances." The Clover Stornetta Family Fun Series kicks-off on Friday, October 14, 2016, with the performance of ERTH's Dinosaur Zoo Live! Audiences of all ages will observe, meet and interact with an eye-popping collection of amazingly life-like dinosaurs and other creatures presented in a theatrical performance that will thrill and entertain kids while stimulating their imaginations in ways that will forever connect them to their world. Brought to life by a team of skilled performers and puppeteers, and designed with the help of professional paleontologists, ERTH's Dinosaur Zoo Live's puppets are extraordinarily realistic providing a unique, entertaining and educational live show created by Erth Visual & Physical of Sydney.
