On Saturday, July 15 at 8:00PM gifted vocalist Linda Eder will perform her songbook of classic Judy Garland and Broadway show tunes in San Francisco/>/>'s Davies Symphony Hall.

"Eder counts the legendary Judy Garland as the earliest influence on her music and, like her, she knows how to pierce the deepest meaning of a song and to sing with the purest power and clarity," state press notes.  Eder's recent Angel Records CD, By Myself: The Songs of Judy Garland, she pays tribute to her idol while still making the classic Garland songs her own – as is Eder's trademark style.

The program features Linda Eder and her band performing standards, pop hits, and original songs for one spectacular night.

Eder says her childhood "teachers" were Garland/>/>, Barbra Streisand, and classical/jazz soprano Eileen Farrell.  She has recorded seven Atlantic/> and Angel albums between 1994 and 2004, each a blend of standards, pop hits and originals, and each showcasing her extravagant vocal gifts.  She has fill concert halls nation-wide, like New York/>/>'s Carnegie Hall.  Additionally, she has been profiled by the Bravo Network, had a solo concert run at Broadway's Gershwin Theater, and performed the track "Gold," which Kristi Yamaguchi skated to during the Opening Ceremony at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
