IN DENIAL Plays San Francisco Fringe, Now thru 9/23
Motion Pictures Collective will present IN DENIAL, a play about a clown who's dream is to be a Broadway superstar or Hollywood starlet as skinny and famous as pregnant Angelina Jolie as part of the 16-day San Francisco Fringe Festival (September 11 through 26, 2015). IN DENIAL plays tonight, September 11th, September 13th, 17th, 19th, and 23rd at EXIT Theatre (156 Eddy Street).
In Denial follows the story of Velma Patterson, a broadway superstar. With a voice like Ethel Merman and moves like Bob Fosse. She is as gorgeous and skinny as pregnant Angelina Jolie... In her mind. Velma is portrayed by Rachel Resnik, a second generation clown who has been studying the art form since she was eight years old. Prior to this upcoming run in San Francisco, In Denial was performed in New York, Montreal, Toronto, and Prince Edward Island. Velma has appeared at festivals and cabarets all over the world, and she is very excited to be coming to San Francisco to meet you!
