Cinnabar Theater Adds BORN YESTERDAY Performance, 6/7

By:

Cinnabar Theater has added a performance at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 7 to its run of Garson Kanin's "Born Yesterday." After Cinnabar Theater sold out all three performances for its weekend week run from June 1 to June 3, it was decided that adding the Thursday night show would help accommodate overwhelming box office reservation requests.

The production is directed by Sheri Lee Miller and features actors Heather Gordon, Gary Grossman and Paul Huberty.

Ex-show girl and mistress, Billie Dawn, gets a new lesson on life and love when her corrupt and uncouth junk czar boyfriend hires a newspaper reporter to tutor her in current events, grammar and gentility for mixing with political elite in Washington D.C.

As relevant and funny today as when it made its 1946 Broadway debut, "Born Yesterday" still charms with its bittersweet comedy and sardonic look at Washington politics when newly educated Billie Dawn adopts a new view of herself and uncovers her boyfriend's political schemes.

FULL CAST: Featuring Paul Verrall: Paul Huberty; Helen: Madeleine Ashe; Eddie Brock: James Pelican; Bellhop, barber, waiter: Dezi Gallegos; Bellhop, bootblack, manicurist: Pascale Serp; Harry Brock: Gary Grossman; Billie Dawn: Heather Gordon; Ed Devery: Charlie Queary*; Senator Norval Hedges: Samson Hood; Mrs. Hedges: Nuria Ibars.

* Member Actors Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers

Reservations are highly recommended for final performances of "Born Yesterday" from June 7 to June 10. Tickets are $15 to $25. Call the box office at 707-763-8920.
