Bus Barn Stage Co Presents A CHRISTMAS PUDDING 11/20-12/19
Celebrate your holiday season with Bus Barn Stage Company as they present a sparkling new holiday show, A CHRISTMAS PUDDING, opening November 20. Created, compiled and adapted by David Birney, A CHRISTMAS PUDDING is a holiday confection told in song, poetry and prose. It runs at the Los Altos venue through December 19.
A CHRISTMAS PUDDING features a collection of Christmas memoirs by authors such as Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Emily Dickinson, George Bernard Shaw, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, William Shakespeare and more. The stories are interwoven with traditional melodies and carols from ages gone by such as Ding Dong Merrily on High, Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day, The Sussex Carol, The Holly and the Ivy, In the Bleak Midwinter, and many more. A CHRISTMAS PUDDING is a treasury of literary and musical gifts that celebrate the season with lighthearted whimsy and solemn reflection.
Directed by Artistic Director Barbara J. Cannon with musical direction by Katie Coleman, the talented cast of singers/storytellers includes Ernestine Balisi, Samantha Bartholomew, Martin Gutfeldt, Beverly Hansberry, Sarah Griner, Lucy Littlewood, Glenna Murillo, Joseph O'Loughlin, Charles Woodson Parker, Lance Fuller, Katie Anderson and Robyn Winslow. These twelve raise their voice in song to the accompaniment of cello, flute, guitar and piano.
Performances are held at the Bus Barn Theater, 97 Hillview Avenue in Los Altos
