Broadway San Jose Announces 2019-20 Season; WICKED, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, and More

Broadway San Jose General Manager Gretchen Feyer announced today the six productions that will make up the company's 2019-20 season-the return of the Broadway sensation, WICKED (August 14-September 8, 2019); the iconic musical phenomenon, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (October 22-27, 2019); Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg's legendary musical, MISS SAIGON (November 12-17, 2019); the hit Broadway musical from Grammy Award nominee Sara Bareilles, WAITRESS (December 17-22, 2019); Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISÉRABLES (April 21-26, 2020); and the critically-acclaimed Tony Award-winning musical, COME FROM AWAY (June 16-21, 2020).
The 2019-20 season will also include three add-on productions-the wildly popular theatrical phenomenon BLUE MAN GROUP (November 1-3, 2019), the 25th anniversary production of the international Irish dancing spectacle, RIVERDANCE (May 15-17, 2020), and one final production to be announced at a later date.
"If I had one word to describe Broadway San Jose's 2019-20 season, it would be 'epic'," says Feyer. "Featuring Broadway's biggest hits, fan favorites, and classics we know and love, there is truly something for everyone this season!"
