Broadway By the Bay presents IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY from December 26th through the 29th at the historic Fox Theatre in Redwood City (2215 Broadway Street).

Come and join us this holiday season with IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY. Inspired by the classic American film, this beloved story is performed as a 1940s live radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. Five actors perform the dozens of characters in the radio play as well as produce the sound effects. With the help of this dynamic ensemble, the life of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life on one fateful Christmas Eve.

"This show is a wonderful holiday gift that we hope our patrons will fully enjoy. The artistic team for this production has really embraced the true meaning of Christmas, and under Milissa Carey's direction and beautiful creativity, it will be the perfect way to end our 2013 season" - Artistic Director, Amanda Folena.

Milissa Carey is a frequent performer and director in the Bay Area. She is also on the Faculty of Foothill College and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, as the head of acting and a stage director in the Opera Department. Milissa is a member of Actors Equity Association and has performed with many Bay Area companies, including Center Repertory Theatre, Theatreworks, American Musical Theatre of San Jose, Centralworks, Pacific Alliance Stage Company, Thick Description, 42nd Street Moon, Festival Opera, the Oakland Symphony and Foothill Music Theatre. She toured the US and Canada on the 25th Anniversary Broadway National Tour of Evita under the direction of Hal Prince. As director, Milissa has worked with Foothill Music Theatre, Los Altos Stage, California Conservatory Theatre, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Opera Academy of the West directing musicals, plays and operas such as Spring Awakening, Spelling Bee, Sylvia, All Shook Up and Working.
