The Parlor celebrated its milestone 100th performance during June, entering it's 10th month in July. The theatre's ongoing run has become a staple of downtown taking center-stage 1/2 block from Union Square.
The evening is a beguiling 90 minutes of interactive mystery. Diverse performance-art combining wit with emotional intensity, each vignette is illustrated with a magical happening, often using artifacts and curios from the period.
You'll find the cozy La Belle Époque Parlor nestled within the historic 100 year old Chancellor Hotel built in 1914 for the World's Fair. Each evening a magical transformation occurs during a 4 hour transition from hotel restaurant into a 19th Century Parlor Salon.
Featured in July's Magic Magazine (an International publication reaching thousands of entertainers worldwide) as only about 1/2 dozen full-time entertainers in the USA work in this "Theatrical Magic" genre merging storytelling and magic.
Raconteur, Conjurer, and Equity actor, Walt Anthony whisks audiences back through time from San Francisco's magical past to its present, creating an intimate evening for natives and visitors alike. Before taking residence in the Magic Parlor, Walt appeared at corporate and private events nationwide for over 30 years.
