William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Barry Edelstein, concludes The Old Globe's 2026 Summer Shakespeare Festival. The comedy follows headstrong Beatrice and confirmed bachelor Benedick, whose friends conspire to bring them together through elaborate schemes, false accusations, and mistaken identities. Eden Espinosa and Tally Sessions star as Beatrice and Benedick, joined by Seth Gilliam as Don Pedro, Benito Martinez as Leonato, Ainsley Melham as Count Claudio, Jimmy Smagula as Dogberry, and Jose Balistrieri as Don John. The production features original music by Curtis Moore, choreography by Patrick McCollum, and includes students from The Old Globe and University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Theatre Program.
