San Diego Junior Theatre closes its 78th season with Les Misérables: School Edition, directed by Desha Crownover with music direction by Michael Tyree. Set in 19th century France, the story follows characters searching for justice, redemption, and belonging during a time of unrest, featuring a score adapted for young performers while preserving the themes of the original. The production features a cast of over fifty young performers from across San Diego County, with set design by Emmy Award-winning Jay Heiserman and lighting design by Junior Theatre alum Michael Barahura. Performances run Fridays at 7pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm, with an ASL-interpreted performance on August 8 at 2pm.
